INSTALLATION OF TERMINALS BRINGS CONNECTIVITY AND EASE OF PAYMENT FOR LAGES/SC CITIZENS.

Rotating parking systems, also known as Zona Azul or Area Azul, are used in several Brazilian cities. Its main objective is to stimulate rotation in public parking spaces, with direct impact on the improvement of traffic and even for the growth of local commerce.

In December 14th 2020, the city of Lages in Santa Catarina began its electronic rotating parking system. It is operated by SERBET (Estacionamento Digital), a concessionaire that chose Digicon to implement the automation technologies that will serve around 2,500 parking spaces distributed in the Central area and in the neighborhood named Coral.

Digicon is among the leading Brazilian companies in the development of technologies for the urban mobility market. For the city of Lages project, the solution chosen was Terminal Street.

With benefits that make the driver’s life easier, the Terminal Street accept credit and debit cards, coins, and prepaid cards. In addition, they have a solar panel for charging the batteries, giving the solution a sustainable profile. The Terminal Street also has 3G technology for data communication and a color graphic display that facilitates interface with users.

In this phase, 45 Terminal Street (also called parking meters) were installed in the busiest areas of the city.
